These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever put on.They are like soft, form-fitting leather gloves on my feet.I needed a completely flat sole for foot and sacroiliac joint problems, and these fit the bill. I did make use of the fact that the footbeds are removable to insert a lift (for a slightly shorter leg) in one shoe and put my custom orthotic inserts in both shoes, and they accommodated the bit of extra material nicely, without making me feel like my foot is going to come out of the top of the shoe. One's mileage may vary in this regard, depending on the thickness of the orthotics and/or lifts one was using, though.I tried the included removable footbeds as well before replacing with my own materials, and they were very comfortable themselves. I do think they add a slight height to the heel area that would make these functionally not zero-drop (not completely flat to stand on), but it was hardly noticeable. (I really only noticed when I removed the original footbed and examined it that the padding of the heel was a bit thicker than down toward the toe.)I will try to update this review once I've worn them for some time for additional details.
